  1. NovaBoot for Windows NT

  3. NovaBoot for NT prepares materials for four methods of disaster recovery.
  4.  
  5. The method of disaster recovery appropriate for your case depends on the 
  6. nature of the system failure.

  8. 1. Make Single Boot Diskette
  9. If you cannot get to the NT boot manager when you power up your 
  10. system, you can boot from this 
  11. diskette to bypass the problem.
  12.  
  13. 2. Make Emergency Repair Diskette
  14. In some cases this can be used to make all the necessary repairs to 
  15. recover your NT system. You must boot from the NT setup diskette to 
  16. access the emergency repair utility which requires this diskette.

  18. 3. Make NT Setup Diskettes
  19. If you cannot boot or repair your NT system, you can boot from these 
  20. diskettes along with your NT CD-ROM to re-install NT.

  22. 4. Make Backup and Diskettes for Restore
  23. A backup is created according to the volumes you select. Special 'Restore' 
  24. Diskettes are also made so that you can restore the data using one simple 
  25. command, NTDATA.

  27. This provides added protection in case disk files have been damaged or 
  28. lost, preventing normal restore operations from functioning. Note that you 
  29. must be able to start NT from 
  30. hard disk in order to run this data recovery procedure.
